We keep it simple
Social Media HQ is a small, independent app. We collect only what we need to make the product work, and we never sell your data to anyone — full stop.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address and hashed password when you sign up.
- Connected social accounts — OAuth tokens for the platforms you connect (Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube). These are stored securely and used only to publish on your behalf.
- Your content — posts, captions, media files, and scheduled times that you create inside the app.
- Basic usage data — things like when a post was published or failed, to help us keep the service working.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not read your content for any purpose other than publishing it when you tell us to.
Data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you do, we permanently delete all of your posts, media files, connected account tokens, and personal information from our systems.
